The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is one of the fastest growing denominations. It is a relatively new denomination different and separate from other area Presbyterian churches.
Although founded in 1973, the Presbyterian Church in America’s roots date back to early America and to the Protestant Reformation. We believe that sinners are justified by faith alone in Christ alone. Presbyterian refers to the representative form of church government, in which local churches elect governing elders. The elders also meet to make decisions on the regional and national level, much like the United States congressional system.
The Presbyterian Church in America has a strong commitment to evangelism, missionary work at home and abroad, and to Christian education. From its inception, the church has determined its purpose to be “faithful to the Scriptures, true to the reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission.”
